Kiyenyeji Women’s Network

Our targeted interventions and advocacy efforts aim to create a society where gender equality is the norm and women have the tools and opportunities to achieve their full potential.

About

Kiyenyeji Women’s Network (KIWONET) is a distinguished non-profit, women-led initiative committed to closing the gender gap and empowering local women across various domains including agriculture, renewable energy, and gender advocacy.

With a strategic focus on leadership, economic production, and climate and environmental conservation, KIWONET strives to foster sustainable development and enhance the livelihoods of women in Uganda.

Our Programs

We are deeply committed to advocating for gender equality and women’s rights.

We support women in value-addition processes, enabling them to increase the profitability and sustainability of their agricultural activities.

We empower women to adopt sustainable energy solutions that reduce environmental impact and improve living conditions.

KIWONET actively engages in policy advocacy to influence local and national policies that impact women’s rights and opportunities.

We support initiatives that ensure young children, particularly girls, have access to quality education from an early age.

We provide comprehensive training programs aimed at equipping women with the skills needed for economic independence and leadership.
